Getting up to Speed!

It has been a while since our last post. I guess life has sent us a few different sets of challenges lately and we have been working on a few projects with existing clients. However, we wanted to review how we collaborate to help your organization in one or two phone or video conferencing conversations.

First, before the meeting, we send you an email with a few questions that we will ask you before the meeting. This helps break the ice, it enables you to prepare to answer our questions making good use of your and our time, which is good business. Since you know what we will ask, we often don't need to ask the questions. This allows us to move into the specifics of challenges you might face. It is usually within 15-20 minutes of discussing your organization with us we will begin to identify a few key areas that we can help we start to focus the discussion on those areas. At the end of the first session, we will set up a follow-up conversation. It is a great way to build a routine, and it allows us to control the time needed for us to work through our next steps.

Our process is pretty painless. Once our first 30-45 minute conference is complete, Karen and I sit down and compare notes, and identify areas we feel we can immediately help you. We put together a plan to accomplish these items, work up an estimated budget for that work, and put it into a nice presentation for you for our next call. Another part of the presentation is work that we see that is not immediate and more down the road. We identify those challenges and put together a higher-level plan with much less detail to focus on so you have control of the direction it goes over time. This presentation will be yours free of charge. It is our way of paying you the respect of earning your business.

Our follow-up conversation is designed to review our presentation, discuss in more detail what the next steps would be for us to help you, and present a contract for our services. This call sets in motion what we do for you next. If you are looking at this from a value perspective, our company provides every prospective client with nearly 2 hours of meeting time and a presentation on how we can help you before we ask for a contract. Again, we do this for the kids, community, and because we love to help people first.

Now you are up to speed!
